*The elephant has been named*
Meet Barbossa! He is the new mascot for the Green Crow Trilogy, and he was just sniffing out my latest book I’ve been reading, We Were Soldiers Once…And Young by Lt. Gen. Harold G Moore (Ret). and Joseph L. Galloway.
I lot of people are making lists and goals of books to read in this new year. I decided I should do one too, because there are a lot I know I want to read, and a lot that have been sitting in my pile of books for a few months. It’s a nice mixture of fiction, history, and philosophy too. They are as follows:
Socrates Meets Kant by Peter Kreeft
The Dance of Death by Kurt Joose (about some modern dancers…or something)
On Fairy Stories by J.R.R. Tolkien
The Hot Zone by Richard Preston (Ebola, caves, scary stuff)
The Final Day by William Forstchen (EMP, more scary stuff)
Fever Code by James Dashner
Fly Girl by Sherri L. Smith
The Sands of Dunkirk by Richard Collier (A movie’s coming out on Dunkirk, so I thought it was timely)
The Fool of New York City by Michael D. O’Brien
It’s not a lot, but knowing me, I’ll pick up more random book along the way. Let’s see if I can read all these this year, plus more. And a few more. And who knows, maybe a few more after that?
